The Arosa Barrel Sauna is crafted from premium Pacific Cedar, a wood species renowned for its exceptional durability and natural resistance to moisture, decay, and insects. When heated, the cedar releases a subtle, calming scent that provides natural aromatherapy benefits during your sauna sessions.
The cylindrical barrel shape eliminates corners where cool air typically collects in rectangular saunas, allowing heat to circulate more efficiently throughout the entire space. This results in faster heat-up times and more consistent temperatures from floor to ceiling, so you spend less time waiting and more time enjoying your session.
The Arosa measures 75 inches wide, 73 inches deep, and 80 inches tall, providing generous interior space for comfortable seating and movement. The sauna weighs approximately 477 pounds when fully assembled.
Yes, the Arosa is specifically designed for outdoor installation and engineered to withstand the elements year-round. The barrel construction naturally sheds rain and snow, preventing moisture accumulation that could damage traditional flat-roofed structures. The Pacific Cedar's natural oils also help protect against weathering.
The Arosa comfortably accommodates up to four people, making it ideal for family relaxation or entertaining guests. The thoughtfully designed interior maximizes usable space while maintaining an intimate atmosphere for rejuvenating sauna sessions.
The Arosa features an electric heater that provides the authentic high-heat traditional sauna experience. This heater is covered by Golden Designs' warranty, with five years of coverage on electronic components and one year on the stove.
The Arosa features an elegant glass door with a wooden frame that adds sophistication to the design while allowing natural light to enter the sauna. This creates an inviting, open atmosphere rather than a closed-in feeling during your sessions.
The Arosa should be placed on a flat, stable surface such as a patio, deck, or prepared foundation in your yard. A level surface ensures proper drainage from the barrel shape and provides stable footing when entering and exiting the sauna.
Pacific Cedar naturally contains oils that protect against the elements, but periodic maintenance will extend its beauty and lifespan. You can apply a cedar-safe wood sealant or stain annually if desired, and it's recommended to keep the area around the sauna clear of debris to promote air circulation.
The Arosa is rated for residential and light commercial use, making it appropriate for home installations as well as smaller commercial settings like bed and breakfasts, boutique hotels, or wellness centers with moderate usage. For heavy commercial applications, consult with Golden Designs about their commercial-grade options.
