A spa pool is larger than a hot tub and may support multiple users with more spacious seating. Unlike a full swim spa, it may not include swim jets for exercise but focuses more on soaking and relaxation.
A
Yes, spa pools are designed for year-round use, including winter. Insulated shells and built-in heaters allow you to enjoy them in all seasons with proper care.
A
Most spa pools are self-contained and do not require permanent plumbing. You can fill them with a garden hose and drain as needed, similar to a hot tub.
A
Spa pools need regular maintenance, including water testing, adding chemicals (like chlorine or bromine), cleaning filters, and draining/refilling every few months.
A
Many modern spa pools include energy-efficient pumps, insulated covers, and smart controls to help maintain heat and reduce electricity usage.
A
Look for hydrotherapy jets, LED lighting, ergonomic seating, digital temperature controls, water filtration, and energy-saving insulation.
A
Depending on size and ambient temperature, it may take 8–24 hours to fully heat. Keeping a cover on helps speed up heating and retain warmth.
A
Yes, but under close supervision. Children should not stay in hot water for extended periods, and the temperature should be lower (around 95°F or 35°C) for safety.

This depends on your local building codes. In many areas, permits are required for electrical work or installations involving large spa systems. Always check with your local authority.
