What We’re Looking For
We support student research where infrared sauna or closely related heat therapy is central, not an afterthought.
Example topics include:
Cardiovascular and metabolic health effects of infrared sauna use
Exercise performance, recovery, and heat acclimation in response to infrared sauna sessions
Stress, mood, sleep, and mental wellbeing among infrared sauna users
Safe use guidelines and real-world infrared sauna protocols (temperature, duration, frequency, and timing)
Comparisons between infrared saunas and other sauna types (traditional, steam) from a health or safety perspective, with infrared sauna as the primary focus
Projects can be laboratory-based, clinical, field-based, or survey/observational.
Who Can Apply
You’re eligible if:
You are currently enrolled at an accredited US college or university
You are an upper-level undergraduate, graduate, or professional student with a defined research project
You are working in a relevant field, such as:
Exercise Science / Kinesiology
Human Physiology
Health or Biomedical Sciences
Public Health
Psychology or Neuroscience
You have a faculty advisor who supports and supervises your project
You will follow your institution’s IRB/ethics requirements, where applicable
Citizenship or immigration status does not by itself prevent eligibility, as long as you are able to legally receive scholarship funds in the United States.
Award Details
Each year, AnySauna awards:
10 scholarships
Each worth $5,000 USD (one-time award)
Funds may be used for:
Research costs (lab fees, equipment access, consumables)
Participant incentives or reimbursements
Data collection and analysis
Travel to collect data or present at conferences
Educational expenses related to your degree (tuition, fees, books)
Recipients agree to:
Acknowledge AnySauna as a sponsor in relevant presentations, theses, and publications
Recipients will provide:
A short project overview suitable for the AnySauna website, highlighting the infrared sauna–related aspects
A final summary of key findings in plain language
Participation in a brief Q&A or feature for AnySauna content (with your approval)

Key terms:
Awards may be paid directly to the student or via their institution, depending on university requirements.
If a funded project is significantly changed, delayed, or discontinued, AnySauna may request a written update and may withhold or reallocate unused funds.
